Purpose of Services

The Sayeda Fatima Food Bank provides food assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Our goal is to support you with supplemental food items during difficult times.

Collection of Personal Information

As part of the registration process, we collect personal and sensitive information including:

  • Full names, dates of birth, and ID numbers for all household members

  • Images of government-issued ID

  • Your home address, phone number, and contact details

  • Household income and expense information

This information is required to determine hamper size and eligibility for services.

Use and Protection of Your Information

Your personal information will be used only for the purpose of delivering food support services through Sayeda Fatima Food Bank.
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
We do not share your information with third parties, except:

  • With your explicit consent

  • As required by law (e.g. to comply with a court order or investigation)

Your information is stored securely and accessed only by authorized staff and volunteers.

Your Rights and Responsibilities

  • You have the right to privacy, dignity, and respect when accessing our services.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information during registration.

  • You agree to follow our pickup process, including bringing the same ID documents uploaded during booking.

  • You agree to treat staff and volunteers respectfully during all communications and visits.

  • You understand that only one food hamper is allowed per household at a time.

  • You understand that each household is eligible for a maximum of three hamper pickups.

Limitations of Our Services

Our food hampers are supplemental and may not meet all nutritional or dietary needs. Availability depends on donations, and certain items (such as hygiene or household products) may not always be available.
